At one point I was jet setting all over the country and the world playing ball. In 2006 I made the USA World University Team after flying through a typhoon to Tainon, Taiwan, and ended up winning the gold after 6 days of straight rain, shortening the tournament to 3 days. In 2007 I played with the semi-pro Brakettes in Stratford, Connecticut, and had the chance to play against NPF Philadelphia Force, whom I was drafted to 1st round in 2008.
In 2008 at Arizona State, we won the WCWS and I was named MVP. Shortly after my first professional season with the Philly Force, in 2009 I was blessed to fill the shoes of the incredible Michelle Smith after she retired a 26 year career in Kariya-shi, Aichi-ken, Japan. After, 2 years with Toyota Shokki, I came back home for a short time then decided to play for Nuoro in Sardegnia, Italy in 2011. I hung it up in 2012 with the Carolina Diamonds, shortly after meeting my incredible husband in Charlotte, North Carolina while he was out on tour with his band.
So not only have I been to 47 states in the US, but I’ve had the honor of traveling to Belgium, Italy, Taiwan, Japan, and China. Places I want to go… Everywhere else that I haven’t listed 🙂 I thrive off of meeting new people, the enriching experience of different cultures, and learning about the history of new places. So bon voyage & enjoy the journey with me to new exciting places!
