Halloween Hair Mask

I’m about to rock your MIND and your WORLD with this post. I am a proud beauty school drop-out, and still read endlessly about what’s hot and what’t not. In my discoveries I have found it better to do it the old school way and as natural as you possibly can. I suggest you pick up the book “healing remedies” from Barnes and Noble and educate on the wonderful world of herb & natural treatments.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE…..This is  SO pleasing to share with you all so here it is… WASH YOUR HAIR EVERYDAY & FINISH THE WEEK WITH A 15-45 MIN HAIR MASK. So there. That’s right you heard it, wash your hair everyday! Use a shampoo and conditioner that is natural and doesn’t contain petroleums. I use Aveda Shampure Shampoo & Aveda Dry Remedy Conditioner:

The old taboo that it keeps your hair healthy is horse baloney. Below is the article you must visit: 7 Hair Mistakes You’re Probably Making. You’re welcome. If you can’t wash everyday, so be it, but try to go for every other to keep those locks fresh and healthy. Think of your hair as you would your face, if you go days without cleansing you will most likely get a pimple, unless you’re that girl. Also, your hair is a fiber, so if you are rough when you towel dry, blow-dry against the cuticle creating fraying (like a ribbon), or tie it up tight when wet you are damaging your hair and snapping it like a little twig 😦 boo.

Halloween Hair Mask:

Mix in color bottle

(note: I wrapped my hair in a microfiber towel, buy one from home depot, or at a beauty supply store and slept with it on over night. My ends have been dry due to the weather change)

2 Egg Yolks

1/4 C Pumpkin Puree

1/4 C Extra Virgin Olive Oil

10 Drops of Aveda Beautifying Oil (optional)

**I add the Aveda Beautifying for a delightful scent, you can use an array of essential oils i.e. lavender, patchouli, rose, peppermint.

***You may need to add more depending on your hair length

If you’re weird about what you put on your hair here’s the run down....

Egg Yolk contains the protein & amino acid that is lost when you use over drying shampoo & conditioners, weather, or lack of washing it thoroughly or enough.

Pumpkin Puree contains beta carotene, zinc, and Vitamins C, E, & A which is also AHH!mazing for your face.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil (cold pressed) is rich in biotin, niacin, vitamins A & E, and antioxidants. It treats dandruff and adds moisture to your scalp
